1. Chemical composition: Wc = 2.4% ~ 2.8%

2. Manufacturing method: Malleable cast iron is a cast iron with flocculent graphite obtained by long-term graphitization annealing of a certain composition of white cast iron.

3. Graphitization annealing process: After holding at 900 ~ 1000 ℃ for 15 hours, it is slowly cooled with the furnace to below 650 ℃ and then air-cooled, to obtain F-matrix malleable cast iron.

4. Types of malleable iron
1) Ferrite malleable iron (black heart malleable iron)-high plasticity and toughness;
2) Pearlite malleable cast iron-higher strength, hardness and wear resistance.

5. Properties of malleable cast iron: Agglomerated graphite greatly reduces the cutting effect and stress concentration of graphite on the base metal, so the strength of malleable cast iron is higher than that of gray cast iron, and the plastic toughness is also greatly improved.

6. Scope of application: However, due to the long annealing cycle, complicated process and high cost, it is only suitable for mass production of thin-walled parts.
